Tax dollars at work: Court rules government must pay for illegal immigrant teen’s abortion, setting dangerous precedent

When border patrol agents catch an immigrant from south of the border trying to enter the United States illegally, it’s usually just another day on the job. But the controversial events surrounding a teenage girl from Guatemala who was recently captured and detained for illegal entry made national headlines after it was reported that she happened to be pregnant at the time and was demanding an abortion.

The 17-year-old, whose name was not released to the public in order to protect her identity, had apparently tried to cross the U.S. border in South Texas when she was captured and taken to a Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) facility for unaccompanied minors. It was here where the girl requested to terminate her pregnancy, but was denied by federal officials who refused to transport or temporarily release her, arguing that it maintains a policy of “refusing to facilitate” abortions for people in its custody.

Somehow the Guatemalan teen was able to obtain lawyers, which argued that the government could not deny the girl “medical care,” even though federal officials did offer to either send her back to her home country or allow her to be taken to a crisis pregnancy center. The illegal alien rejected both of these options and demanded that she not only be allowed to end her unborn baby’s life, but also be permitted to do so with American taxpayers footing the bill.

Most rational thinking people would agree that an illegal immigrant who breaks the law has no constitutional right to an abortion, and especially one that ends up costing her nothing while taxpayers are forced to cover all the costs. But in this case, the girl was allowed to murder her unborn child in the name of avoiding “forced childbirth,” setting a dangerous new precedent for illegal aliens to obtain abortions for free on the backs of American taxpayers.

Commenting on the court challenge that led to this outcome, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton referred to it as “tragic,” noting that it could “pave the way for anyone outside the United States to unlawfully enter and obtain an abortion.” He further added that the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), which had opposed the ruling, did not appeal the lower circuit court’s ruling to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Abortionists love to murder babies and will fight to the death to defend this ‘right’ for all

What is perhaps most disturbing about the case may not be the fact that the illegal immigrant child was permitted to murder the unborn life growing inside her womb, or even that she did so for free while Americans covered the bill. It is the fact that pro-abortion leftists spent inordinate amounts of time and resources pushing for the girl to not be taken to a crisis pregnancy center or otherwise counseled to keep her child as many had suggested, but rather fought tooth and nail to ensure that her baby was murdered as quickly as possible.

These deranged psychopaths actually marched around in the streets with protest signs demanding that the girl’s abortion take place as quickly as possible, because they apparently believe that not murdering an unborn child with expediency somehow infringes upon an imaginary “right” that women have to terminate the lives of as many babies as they want without impediment. It seems to be that these pro-abortionists actually enjoy murdering babies on the altar of political correctness, as evidenced by the violent resistance to any other option that might preserve a baby’s life.

Those who support abortion, after all, are card-carrying members of a violent death cult that see all forms of life as infringing women’s “rights.” These types of folks would never advocate that women actually be responsible and not get pregnant in the first place if they don’t want to have children. They instead push for abortion on demand at all costs, even when it means using taxpayer dollars to fund the abortions of people who aren’t even legally present on American soil.
